The Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) is Atlantic Canada's centre for domestic, regional and international flight service. The airport is located at 1 Bell Boulevard in Enfield, NS, which is a 30-45 minute drive from downtown Halifax. There are several transportation options to the city, including taxi and limousine services, shuttle buses and car rentals.
Taxi fares are set at $53.00 for transport from the airport to the downtown core, limousine service is set at $56.00, and the Airporter shuttle will take you to the front entrance of most major hotels in downtown Halifax for $19.50 (cash only). Car rentals through Alamo, National, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Thrifty, Enterprise and Hertz can be obtained in the Lower Level of the Airport Parkade (advance reservations recommended).
Via Rail travels overnight from Montreal to Halifax on its Ocean route six days per week (no departures on Tuesdays). The Via Rail Station is located at 1161 Hollis Street in Halifax, adjoining The Westin Nova Scotian Hotel.
Acadian Lines services Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, and connects with Quebec and the rest of Canada via Orléans Express. The Halifax Bus Terminal is located at 1161 Hollis Street in Halifax, adjoining The Westin Nova Scotian Hotel.
